Yin sat kicking her feet in the lake, watching the water make ripples. The water was warm, it was night time but it was still about 80 degrees outside. She sighed to herself, instantly knowing that he wasn't near any water. And why should he be? There was no point. She wondered if he was out doing business or not. It was 2 in the morning, and he could be asleep, but knowing Hei, he was either working, or drinking. And he liked the night. Yin sighed again and looked down at her dress. It was dark, almost the color of the night sky, Hei had picked it out for her.
He had looked at her one night and said that if her hair was the color of the moon, then she needed a dress like the sky. Hei had never treated her like a doll, even though she definatly was. He told her that she was different, because she had thoughts and feelings of her own, unlike most dolls. Yin smiled softly at her memories. She leaned against the tree behind her and closed her eyes picturing him, and yet for some reason all she could see was that mask.
Shivering she pushed it away, she never liked to think about him when he was working. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy the kill, but he wasn't the same person when he was like that. When he took off the mask and showed his dark eyes, it was almost like he wasn't a contractor anymore. He was just Hei, or sometimes Li... But in the mask he was BK201, the black reaper.
Either way didn't really make a difference though, because even if he wasn't wearing it, Yin knew the mask was never far. It was very rare if Hei didn't have it with him.
Yin opened her eyes and looked down at the dirt, and almost as if she had no control of her own hand she started to draw that mask right there. Like maybe he would find her again if she did. Chuckling lightly to herself she stepped back to look at her work of art. It had a perfect likeness to it. And all to soon the wind blew, not exactly erasing it, but covering it slightly. Yin's smile faded and she stepped back, unsure of something, but not quite sure what.
Something wasn't right here. She backed up another step and was once again against the tree.
"The picture was nice while it lasted." a cold voice hit Yin's ear and she knew it all to well. Tears formed at her eyes and she smiled, a real smile. "Hei..." Yin's voice was still monotone, as always, but Hei could hear the slight difference showing that she was happy to see him again.
"I missed you Yin." Hei said walking towards her. Yin flew into his arms and hugged him tight. She could hear his light laugh and leaned against his chest. "I missed you too, Hei." He softly stroked her hair, and they stood there in silence for a while.
"Hei?" Yin said softly, not looking up at him.
"Hmm?" Hei questioned still petting her hair.
"Kiss me..."
Hei immediately stopped any movement and went still, taken back. "What did you say?" He held her back at arms length and looked at her. Yin blushed, embarrassed and not wanting to repeat herself, but she answered anyway. "Kiss me Hei. Please..." Gently Hei put his lips to hers and felt her respond, kissing him back, both of them soft, and unsure. When Hei pulled back, he looked at Yin. She was smiling and blushing. "I love you, Hei." She said holding onto him for support.
"... I think I love you too, Yin." That was all she needed. "Lets go home." she suggested. Hei smiled at her, "Tired?" Yin bit her lip and looked up at Hei; In a soft voice, trying to flirt, and maybe tease him some, she said. "Not at all..."

Look Into the Lonely Mind
She sits alone,
Her thoughts chasing one another
In an endless game of tag.
Connections,
Understandings,
Things no one else can grasp.
Music and movies play,
Repeating themselves over and over.
Books have been written
Only to be forgotten.
Names with pictures,
Words with no voice,
Art that cannot be shown.
Communicating with words that make no sense
And trying to fit in,
Resulting in failure.
Admired by many,
Refused by them all.
Forever Alone...
A lie.
Beautiful and she knows it
But doesn't believe it.
A touch to liven,
A word to kill.
Confused by the answers
To the questions she asks.
Then it all comes back to...
Why?

Glass Doll
I fell in love with a girl once. Her name was Lily. We met up in one of those old cafés that have a stage in the center. I used to have coffee there every morning, and listen to whatever musician was on the stage before going to work. They were always kind of tacky, but I liked them for their tackiness, I guess. I don't know. I sort of just came there out of habit.
That day, I bought my coffee like usual. I didn't notice her at first. She was silent. It was one of the only times I would ever hear her be silent. I sat down at my usual corner to wait for the waitress with the coffee and listen to the music for a bit. When I looked up, she
