A blindfold covers my eyes, no sight, little sound.
My hands are bound and faintly I hear, "Don't move."
I shiver with sweet anticipation. Waiting.
Nights he is someone else. A mad man making me quiver.
During the day, he is sickly sweet.
He'd do anything for me.
I am his princess.
His one.
His only.
He swears on saving me. Being my prince charming.
My knight in shining armor.
The one who makes me forget my past.
But when the sun sets, so does the man I think I know.
And it makes me smile.
Knowing I'm holding back.
Knowing soon I'll hear that chuckle.
And melt into another world.
His world.
Oh how I love the dark...
I'm Wendy, and he's Peter pan.
I'm running and running as fast as I can
Straight off a cliff,
because I'm really not sure if...
Hoping that He will come to my rescue,
But again doubting he will.
Tears escape my face,
As I fall closer to my fate,
The darkness is closing in,
When out of no where I'm caught in a spin,
And I'm flying upward,
I know it's him, It's Peter! I thank the lord.
I know at least that I'm safe in his arms,
With him there is no harm.
He shakes his head at me,
"Wendy, you need to think happy thoughts."
"Peter, you say that a lot."
A smile spreads across his lips,
his hands pretend to slip,
I let out a yelp and he
Her eyes sparkled with tears of joy,
she felt like a child who could pick a free toy,
things like this just weren't real,
and how could she explain just what she would feel?
Entrapped in a long lost kiss,
passion and hope in the mix,
she cried for a happy reason,
time had passed, to many seasons.
But none of that mattered, not here, not now.
All she could ask of was their secret vow.
In hopes that he would remember her,
remember them,
remember the laughs,
the risks.
He took her hand and smiled,
his hair still messy and wild,
he whispered softly,
"You don't have to worry anymore."
She'd gone through hell until this moment.
